step 1.This is really not a step but a diagram. This diagram breaks down the anatomy of the dragon talon in detail. This will help you understand the development and positioning of the dragons talon. In the first view you will look at the talon on a 3/4 angle. On the second view of the talon it will be on a side angle. And then the last view is on a front angle of the talon. Study it closely so you can better understand the make up of the dragon talon.
step 2.Now start this first step with the shape drawing of the dragon arm and talon. First draw a small circle for the shoulder and then add a straight line on an angle. Make a smaller circle for the elbow and then another slanted line for the forearm. You will add the shape of a horse hoof for the talon guideline. On the right side you will be drawing out the guidelines and shapes for the legs. Start with a slightly slanted line that connects to a small circle. You will then add a slightly bended line for the continuance of the thigh part of the leg and add the ball in the back. From the ball draw the shape of a shovel for the guidelines of the foot.
step 3.Now in this step you will first draw out the shaping of the upper part of the dragons arm and then draw the shape of the forearm. On the hand draw four lines for the fingers and then add the circles for the knuckles as shown. You will then move to the right and begin shaping out the bottom part of the leg and then draw three lines for the toes and circles for the nails
step 4.What you will be doing in this step is first draw the shoulder lines and detail the elbow. Then you will start sketching in the lines for the talons as shown. Move your attention the right and draw the shape of the upper thigh and then detail the shaping of the bottom part of the leg as well as the dragon foot.
step 5.The first thing you will do here is start sketching out the talons of the dragons hand and detail them as well. The claws should look thick and sort of long. After you do the you can start sketching in the muscle detailing on the upper thigh and then detail the ankle bone as well as the clawed toe nails.
step 6.In this last drawing step you will draw in more of the dragons shoulder as well as add the detailing muscle definition on the upper part and lower part of the arm. You will also detail the talons as you can see here. You will also need to detail the claws n the foot as well as erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew back in step one.
